Who we are
Ha Giang Experts is an exploration travel company based in Ha Giang, part of the MotoTours Asia ecosystem — a brand our founder built over 30 years of organising and personally leading exploration journeys, from the Ha Giang border patrol roads to Tibet and Everest Base Camp, the Silk Road, the Karakoram and a 60-day Hanoi–Portugal ride. Our journeys have been written about by the South China Morning Post, Al Jazeera, the BBC, Nikkei Asia and Travel Weekly Asia.
We do not sell Ha Giang the way other companies do. We ride village tracks, sleep in local homes, eat what the village eats, and work to one mission: awakening potential, developing communities.
We are expanding at the end of 2026: tour operations run from September 2026, and the Ha Giang Hub guesthouse opens on 20 November 2026. We need a real sales department — and we are looking in southern Vietnam, where a great many people have been to Ha Giang once and never stopped thinking about it.
1. International sales, inbound — 2 positions
- Advise international guests and close bookings by email, WhatsApp, Instagram and the booking form on our website.
- Design tailor-made itineraries, quote them, follow deposits and payments.
- Look after guests before, during and after the tour; build up reviews and returning guests.
- Work with agents and partners abroad.
- Requirements: at least 2 years in travel, inbound preferred · fluent spoken and written English · able to write a sales email in English · comfortable with everyday computer tools.
2. Domestic sales — 2 positions
- Sell tours to Vietnamese guests: buckwheat flower season, family groups, corporate groups, motorbike groups.
- Develop agents, freelance sellers and domestic communities.
- Sell rooms and services at Ha Giang Hub; help look after staying guests.
- Requirements: at least 2 years in travel · good conversational English, fluency preferred · existing industry contacts in southern Vietnam are a strong advantage.
3. Sales team leader — 1 position
- Lead a team of 4 sales staff: set targets, coach them, review results every week.
- Work with management on pricing, agent policy and sales scripts.
- Work with content and marketing to keep the pipeline fed.
- Requirements: at least 3 years in travel, including managing a team or running a sales channel on your own · fluent English · able to read sales figures.

- Bands are set by years worked in travel and verified against your social insurance book — not by impression. The pay scale is posted at the workplace as required by Article 93 of the Labour Code, so everyone knows which band they are in and how many years the next one takes.
- The monthly package is base salary, revenue target bonus and a 1.2 million regional allowance — the allowance is exactly the gap between the region I and region III minimum wage, and it updates itself whenever the State adjusts them. Base salary is never cut.
- Sales commission sits outside the package and has no ceiling. It is calculated across three sources: guests you find yourself, guests through partners, guests from company advertising. Guests you find yourself earn the highest rate.
- Accommodation and meals are provided by the company for anyone whose permanent residence is more than 100 km from Ha Giang Hub — worth around 8 million VND a month.
- A 13th month salary and a Lunar New Year bonus; social insurance and health insurance as required by law.
- One tour or survey trip with a group every month: you sell roads you have ridden yourself.
- Trained directly by the founder — 30 years of organising exploration tours in Vietnam and abroad.
One number, plainly. At the same 5 to 8 year band, the cash you take home in Ha Giang is exactly what a colleague in Hanoi takes home: 14 million VND. But in Hanoi, once rent and food are paid, 6 million is left. Here the company covers both, so you keep the whole 14 million.
The truth about this job — read this before you apply
- The workplace is Bản Châng, Ha Giang — not a city office. You will live here.
- Winter is cold and damp. The high season is relentless.
- The internet is good enough to work on, but what is around you is nothing like Saigon.
- European guests are in another time zone; some evenings you will be answering them.
- Weekends and public holidays are when most bookings come in — there is an on-call rota.
- Going out on the road is part of the job, not a reward.
- We expect you to stay at least 24 months. If you are looking for a few months of experience, this is not the place.
In return, you get

- A seat while the machine is still being built: whoever joins today is the management layer 24 months from now.
- Living in one of the most beautiful parts of Vietnam — not visiting it, living in it.

We give priority to women candidates, to people who have already been to Ha Giang, and to people who can start in October or November 2026.

Candidates who reach the final round are invited to Ha Giang for three days to see with their own eyes where they would live and work before signing anything: staying in the room you would have, eating the meals you would eat, riding a real stretch of road, and working beside the team for a session. We cover food and lodging for those three days and reimburse one-way travel once both sides have signed the contract.
